Apply for WCSS Travel Grants by April 20

Apply by April 20 for the Wilford Gardner World Congress of Soil Science Fellowship, which provides travel grants to soil science graduate students from U.S. institutions who are presenting papers at the 20th World Congress of Soil Science, June 8-13, in Jeju, South Korea. Funding is provided by the National Science Foundation.

The Soil Science Society of America and U.S. Committee for Soil Science (USNC/SS), a committee of the National Academy of Sciences which represents all U.S. soil scientists to the International Union of Soil Sciences, announces the Wilford Gardner World Congress of Soil Science Fellowship. This program is intended to provide financial assistance for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers at U.S. institutions who are making presentations at the 20th World Congress of Soil Science in Jeju, South Korea, June 8-13, 2014. Funding is generously provided by the National Science Foundation. The fellowship program is named in honor of the USNC/SS's founding chair and SSSA past-president, Wilford R. Gardner.

Preference will be given to students and postdoctoral scientists pursuing research in all areas of soil science and allied areas including geochemistry, geobiology, and mineralogy.
